It's an epiphytic vine, known for its small, pointed, semi-succulent leaves that are often splashed with silver flecks. The leaves can turn maroon or red in bright light, and the plant stays small and easy to manage

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Morning sun is well tolerated, but direct, intense afternoon sun can scorch the leaves. Brighter light is needed to achieve the desirable red 'sun-stressed' foliage color.
  • Temperature: Warm to intermediate conditions. Day and Night: 68-86°F (20-30°C). It does not tolerate cold and must be protected from temperatures below 50°F (10°C) and cold drafts.
  • Humidity: High humidity is preferred (60-80%), reflecting its rainforest origin. It will adapt to average household humidity but will thrive with the use of a humidifier or pebble tray.
  • Watering: Allow the top third to half of the soil to dry before watering. Its succulent leaves store water, so avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Water less during the cooler winter months when growth slows.

Additional Notes

Features clusters of up to 30 small, velvety, star-shaped flowers around 6 mm wide. The creamy-white petals contrast with a red center, and the flowers emit a light, sweet scent lasting about a week. Blooms repeatedly appear on the same stems, so avoid removing them.
