This is a unique and relatively rare climbing Aroid. It is cherished for its elegant, glossy, deep green leaves that are distinctively narrow and long. Its sturdy foliage and sophisticated shape make it a standout addition to any tropical plant collection.
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Too little light can cause sparse, leggy growth, and direct sunlight should be avoided as it will scorch the leaves.
- Temperature: Requires warm conditions, ideally between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Protect the plant from cold drafts and sudden temperature drops, especially during winter.
- Humidity: While it can adapt to average home humidity, it thrives with higher humidity (over 60%).
- Watering: Water only when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil are dry to the touch. Ensure the pot has excellent drainage, as overwatering and soggy soil can quickly lead to root rot.
Additional Notes
As a climbing Philodendron, it will benefit greatly from being given vertical support, such as a moss pole or trellis, as it grows. Like most Philodendrons, it is considered toxic if ingested.
