This Hoya is a popular, miniature vining species known for its charming, small, bell-shaped flowers. It's relatively easy to grow and a great choice for hanging baskets or trellises due to its compact size and delicate appearance.
- Light: Bright, indirect light. It thrives preferably in dappled light or bright shade. Avoid direct scorching sun, which can burn the leaves.
- Temperature: Warm to intermediate. The ideal daytime temperature range is 70-85°F (21-29°C), with a nighttime drop to 60-70°F (15-21°C). It is crucial to protect this Hoya from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
- Humidity: Moderate to high, 60-80% is ideal. While it can tolerate average household humidity, it will flourish with higher levels, which can be achieved with a pebble tray or humidifier.
- Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch or two of the potting mix feels dry, allowing excess water to drain completely. It prefers to be consistently moist but not soggy. Reduce watering slightly in cooler months, but do not let it dry out for extended periods.
Additional Notes
Each flower is a vibrant lemon yellow with a delicate, reddish-pink corona, giving it a bicolor look. They have a sweet, faint fragrance and are known for blooming frequently and continuously once the plant is mature.
