Dracula simia

With 5 x 15cm flowers Dracula simia belongs to the rather large-flowered species, the horizontal to pendulous and up to 15cm long inflorescences bear 2-3 terminal flowers, which open successively.
The flower of this species has the greatest resemblance to a monkey face due to the reddish-purple flowers with bright, almost white heart.
